Festive Rent Day – Sunday 8th December

It’s that time of year again – time for Members to pay their rent.  This year Members will also need to sign a new tenancy agreement and terms and conditions as agreed at our Autumn General Meeting on 2 November.

There will also be free festive food for Members to enjoy, and Christmas craft activities for all the family.

Plum chutney, plum jam and honey mustard made from produce grown on site will also be available for sale and would make lovely Christmas presents.

After rent day we will be holding a Christmas wreath making workshop from 3pm to 5pm.

We hope to see our Members on Sunday 8 December.

Brilliant Bonfire Bash!

After a not-so-promising start to the day, it cleared up in time for our Annual Bonfire Night party.   As well as a huge bonfire and fireworks display Members enjoyed pumpkin soup, hotdogs and Jane’s delicious ginger parkin. There was also a leaf-lantern making workshop.

Thank you to everybody who built the bonfire, lit fireworks,  tidied the Clubhouse and prepared food as well as those who donated fireworks.

Earlier in the day we also held our Autumn General Meeting.  We discussed and adopted the new tenancy terms and conditions. These will be issued along with rent renewals in December.  Rent day will be on Sunday 8th December.

Bonfire night party – Saturday 2nd November

On Saturday 2 November we will be having our annual Bonfire party for members and their families.

There will be hot food, a bonfire, fireworks, as well as toasting marshmallows and making s’mores.  Children will be able to make lanterns to help light the way to the bonfire.

Lantern making starts straight after the Autumn General Meeting at around 4pm with the food and the bonfire starting at 5pm.

The event is free for members but we would appreciate donations of  fireworks – cake or barrage types (not small mixed packs).

To help us plan the event could members please pick up a ticket from the shop or a committee member.
